Design Your Own Art Project:

Description:

I had a lot of fun with this project. I got to design my own project that I wanted to make. You had to create something of your choice that you get to create. I chose to create a tree bookshelf. I created this with my partner Kiernan. You could make this project personal to you and you get to chose what you put on what your creating and how its made. Another really cool factor in this project is that you get to sell you project after you finish creating it.

Video Project:

Project Description

In this project we studied a Fracking and the pros and cons of it. After watching a couple of documentaries about fracking we started to create a story board. We then found people to interview. After that we started to get some B-Role for our video.  After we got all the interviews and B-Role, we put all of it onto Finn's computer and used iMovie to create it. I had a lot of fun in this project and i'm glad i did it.

Project Reflection:

How is art used in everyday life?
Art is used in everyday life, for example when we cook, bake, draw, customize and so much more. Art is what you make it to be and it's all around us.

What is old, and what is new in any work of art?
I guess there isn’t really any new or old in art unless maybe you repeated something that was already created and that makes it old. The thing that is new in art is maybe the new ideas and creative.

What problem-solving skills (21st Century) are employed in making works of art?
I think a lot of arist use communication to make art. I feel like artist got and talk to other people trying to get a bunch of ideas and from hearing all these ideas they get one.

Stop Motion Project

Basic Project Description:
We first made a set with these small boards and lit it up with this golden looking light. After that we made rails out of rules. We then took a finger board and put strings on it so we could control it without showing our hands. We took pictures of the skateboard them moved it slowly and took another picture.

Reflection: This could help me in my Documentary because i learned a lot to do with lighting.

Project Description/Reflection

  • What did you learn from this project?                                                                 I leaned how to use a the scanner and make my sketch into a Photoshop picture.
  • What are you going to take with you from this project?                                    What i'm gonna take away from this project is that you can make anything into a logo and it can be fun.
  • What is your personal connection to the logo?                                                   I did not have a personal connection to my logo i just thought it looked cool.
  • Any other thoughts you'd like me to know about your process/project/product?                                                                                         Nope.

Self Portrait

When is art criticism vital, and when is it beside the point?

Art criticism is vital when your project does not look to good because then it helps you grow and then you can do so much better on other projects.

Landscape Project

Picture
During this mini project, i learned a lot. This is the first time I've used Photoshop and i found it pretty interesting and fun. I've learned how to use some of the tools on Photoshop such as the move tool, magic wand tool, quick select tool and more. The tools i found the most useful is the quick select tool. It helps select a certain amount of the picture without having u to hand  select it.  We learned about foreground, middle ground, and background. In my picture to the left, my foreground is my Koala and i choose the Koala because i thought it was a funny picture. My middle ground was the tree and the bat full of animals. Last but lest, my background is the clouds and he mountains. Another thing wee learned was about a Photoshop Document and a JPEG. The difference between these 2 is that a Photoshop document you can go back into Photoshop and edit your picture. In Concision i learned how to use Photoshop.

Project Reflection

I had a lot of fun during this project but i also had some trouble. First thing i did was send an test thing to all my favorite teachers. On the test i asked questions like "What's your favorite movie?" and "What's your favorite superhero?".  After that i decided to create a Teacher Creature of Brian Morgan. He said he hat his favorite movie was "Zoolander". A couple days before i watched Zoolander for the first time and thought it was great. I then found a bunch of pictures of Zoolander characters and put them all into a proof sheet. After that i made Brian as the main character, Derek. I photoshopped  Brian's beard and glasses into Derek Zoolander's face. Then i put Hansel on the opposite side of Brian. For Hansel, I took Brian's glasses and put it on his face. When I was done with that, I thought it need a little more so I took Moo Gato and put him right between Brian and Hansel. After all that I put Captain Planet in the background flying.
The hardest part of this project for me was trying to find a background for my projected. I searched for about two days then I finally was tired of it but I kept searching. Right before I was about to give up I found a picture of the Zoolander movie picture   and used that. What I learned about my style as an artist is that I like to make things random and funny but unique. I've done that on quite a lot of projects.  I think that all art is influenced on anything around it and in the world.
